The Next Step

Soooo this title is just a little clever pun for some exciting news that I have to share. Let’s just get into it! When I started my real estate career in 2018, I joined the same brokerage my mom was in at the time as she is also a Realtor. I have been there ever since up until recently. I have made the decision to change brokerages and am now an agent at Next Step Realty! And a member of the Jojo and Associates team!

I am SUPERRRRRR excited to have made this move. This is something that totally happened in divine timing and that I know will absolutely make me the best Realtor that I can be. If I’m honestly speaking, when I started at my brokerage, I loved the idea of just being a solo agent and learning on my own. Until I started to realize that the little support that was offered, still wasn’t enough. I started to understand that the way to be the best, is to surround yourself with and LEARN from the best. Also, as I began to evolve, so has my lifestyle. And that’s not to say I’m rich and famous lol. But I noticed how important it is to surround yourself with beautiful things and be in beautiful spaces that make you feel good. I talk about this in my other blog about defining luxury for yourself. Next Step Realty, not only has gorgeous office spaces for their agents, but all of the team members are bosses. Extremely knowledgeable and serving all of their clients in the best way. And this is what I have been wanting to align myself with.

Now let me share a story about why else this is super cool for me. The first time I met Jojo, my team leader, I was a property manager for a property she was selling. I was familiar with her from Instagram and new she was a very successful agent. I coordinated a transfer for a delinquent tenant so that the seller could get to closing without this tenants balance presenting an issue. While working with Jojo, I felt like it would be so cool to learn more from her. But I never mentioned it and just kept moving along with life.

Recently I began to feel that a mentor is really beneficial to hold me accountable and really help me reach my highest potential as a Realtor. But the mentor I had at my previous brokerage was not a good fit for me. So when Jojo dropped her podcast, I thought, “Perfect!” I can get mentorship through her podcast. (I’m a podcast junkie) That was good enough for me or at least it would have to be at that time. So when Jojo reached out about joining her team as an agent, I was 100% on board.

The first thing I thought to myself was, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

I knew I could learn from someone like Jojo, and when I was ready, mentorship knocked at my door. I’m so excited to share my real estate journey with this new brokerage and team. I love being a Realtor, and aligning myself with the right team will only help me to serve my clients even better.

I look forward to sharing more with you guys soon!
